When to visit The Pelvic Health Clinic during Pregnancy

We recommend at least 2 appointments during pregnancy,

The first, ideally early in the 2nd trimester from 13 weeks onwards. This allows the early identification and prevention of any pelvic floor issues

The second, roughly from 32-34 weeks, to ensure you are prepared for birth and discuss how you can prevent tearing and optimise recovery in the early days.

If you are struggling with pelvic or musculoskeletal aches and pains, we recommend additional visits as and when you feel appropriate based on your symptoms.
